Expert Foundry Services strives to lead the foundry industry in all of its outsourcing sand core production needs. E.F.S. was founded in March of 1996 by Owner/President Philip Engle. With over 35 years of experience in the foundry industry, Phil Engle Sr. has been in almost every facet of the foundry process, from core making to the finished casting, he has experienced it all.
On March 1st of 1996, Phil Engle Sr. decided to open the doors of Expert Foundry Services and began his quest to provide the industry with a sand core production facility that would exceed the industry standards in quality with an unprecedented response in lead time. With his ingenious mechanical aptitude, he has designed and fabricated, with his team, unique and one of a kind core manufacturing machines, not used anywhere else in the world. Using an air set binder system with quick reaction times; his design has revolutionized the no-bake process to produce, in great quantity, high quality blown sand cores, using a variety of different pattern types. Expert Foundry Services Inc. has 4 Shalco EMI-U180 shell core machines and a variety of Cold-Box sand core production machines. In our No-Bake operation we have two continuous mixers with a “Recipe Management System” that gives us the ability to run virtually any required resin level by simply scanning a bar code. It is our goal to provide our customers with the highest of quality, competitive prices, and fastest turn around in the industry.
